Issue 5

I do believe that public schools can produce good citizens because I myself came from a public school and I know that I am a good citizen. I am always intersted in current events and since I have turned 18 over three years ago I have only missed one voting campaign from my home town. I watch the news and I love reading the paper besides that my highschool teachers emphasized the importance. We had current event assignments and always spoke about world politics. I think that public schools must guide students in the right direction to make them become responsible citizens. Students must realize the importance and one good way is for teachers to explain that to them.
